Welcome to Kitty Hollywood's Masichismo Files.

Mr Ray and Cait - I hold you personally responsible for this one. You owe me two hours of my life back. If, by the way, anyone else would like to request that I review a particular film, I will take suggestions. But I'm going to retain the right of refusal, because OH MY GOD THIS FILM IS A PILE.

A great, steaming, unrepentant pile of offal.

The Fountainhead. Enjoy, people.

  1. I agree, this film was visually striking but otherwise incredibly tedious. Have you ever reviewed any films by The Archers aka Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger? I'd live to hear your thoughts on The Red Shoes, Black Narcissus and A matter of life and death. In my opinion, some of the greatest films ever made. Truly compelling, off beat plots and mind-blowingbvisuals/staging.

  2. I loved this review and watching your passion against the movie! I read the book many years ago and loathed it. Everything you say about the movie validates my thoughts about the book. I will never watch it - as far as I'm concerned, life's too short. If its sole reason for existence is this wonderfully entertaining review, then that's fine with me. I was laughing out loud at times.

  3. Kitty, you are fabulous. I just discovered you and am hoping you are still reviewing classics. Notorious would be the best. Are you still putti g your reviews together? I would love to know your background. Thanks.
